We are a small, independent, owner-run restaurant tucked away on the south side of the city of Edinburgh. We offer a leisurely dinner, cooked by Scottish chef Tyler King, which lasts around two and a half hours, which is a surprise tasting menu. Tyler cooks with the best of Scottish fish and meat, with fish coming from both the Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland and the east coast. Meat and game is usually sourced from Fife and the Highlands. Pescatarian or vegetarian dinners are options but need to be requested at time of booking. We do not offer a dairy, egg or gluten free dinner.
Condita seats just twelve guests, at half-a-dozen, candle-lit, well spaced, Scottish mid-century modern large circular dining tables. Decor, made exclusively for Condita, changes seasonally, service is friendly and relaxed and we have no dress code. One of our two kitchen zones are in the restaurant and both chefs and front of house staff will explain all the dishes we serve to you.
Dining is by reservation only, we are open evenings Tuesday to Saturday.
